Acorn Cryotech (now "Acorn Biolabs") is a Toronto-based startup company that cryopreserves young cells so that they may be used in conjunction with future medical therapies (i.e. stem cell therapy, organ regeneration). By providing an at-home collection kit, this service is non-invasive, inexpensive, and highly scalable.
I was involved with Acorn from August 2015 to March 2017. As the Chief Operating Officer, I optimized cell transportation, culturing, and cryopreservation protocols and organized the company infrastructure in anticipation of its launch. I also spearheaded Acorn's marketing initiatives, acquiring many of their early customers.
